Job summary

The Marvin Group, based in Southern California near LAX, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to translate Mil-DoD and customer requirements into robust manufacturing plans, BOMs, and tooling. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7–10 years of Manufacturing Engineering/configuration management experience.
• Must have strong ERP System experience.
• Must have experience with MIL-STD documents, reading and interpretation of GD&T and ASME Y14.5, Mil-Std-973.
• Must have ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in creation of Manufacturing Planning for product realization.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques including casting, machining, sheet metal fabrication, metal finishing, assembly, PCBA, and wire harnesses.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient with Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Break down Mil-DoD and customer engineering requirements per drawing to create manufacturing planning, BOMs, tooling fixtures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to improve processes, troubleshoot assembly, machining and test problems.
• Reduce time and cost to manufacture products with time-saving measures while maintaining quality and certifications.
• Provide design engineering support for mechanical components and assemblies when needed.
• Support production to ensure products meet specifications and engineering documents.
• Identify and design/ deploy tooling to aid production processes where appropriate.
• Prepare engineering changes to support manufacturing and part quality.
