Job summary

The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor in Southern California, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong aerospace background focused on mechanical and electro-mechanical components. The role emphasizes large metallic parts, electromechanical assemblies, and some CNC experience.

Candidate will troubleshoot processes, optimize efficiency, support production builds to spec, and drive design-for-manufacturing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• FSDA (full size determinant assembly) and machining/fabrication experience.
• DPD/MBD knowledge is a plus.
• MRA knowledge/experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and decipher blueprints, drawings, procedures, and GD&T.
• Strong process management and cost-reduction skills.
• Excellent technical writing and fluent English communications.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and heat treatment/coatings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and products to meet quality standards and profitability.
• Assist in optimizing manufacturing efficiency through improved processes and tooling.
• Support Production to ensure builds meet specifications and engineering documents.
• Provide feedback to improve product design for manufacturability and cost.
• Prepare engineering changes to support production quality.
• Identify and develop tooling to aid production processes.
• Ensure standardization and compliance to specifications for interior products.
• Perform engineering analyses and root-cause corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external resources for new processes.
