Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to translate Mil-DoD and customer requirements into manufacturing plans, BOMs, and tooling. This role supports machining of large metallic components, assemblies, and related processes in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in manufacturing engineering or configuration management, strong GD&T knowledge, and ERP experience (SAP preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical/industrial/aerospace engineering.
• 7–10 years of manufacturing engineering / configuration management experience.
• Strong knowledge of MIL-STD documents, GD&T, and ASME Y14.5.
• Experience creating manufacturing planning and BOMs for product realization.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical drawings and interface with supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Break down Mil-DoD and customer requirements to create manufacturing plans and BOMs.
• Design tooling/fixtures and liaise with production to optimize processes and costs.
• Prepare engineering changes to support manufacturing quality and part reliability.
• Identify and deploy tooling to aid production processes.
• Ensure compliance to standards and quality documentation per QMS.
