Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our client in Franklin Park, IL. This full-time, onsite role requires at least 8 years of experience, advanced 3D CAD skills, and excellent drafting skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using 3D solid-modeling.
2. Lead process FMEA activities.
3. Provide guidance and support to machinists to ensure optimal equipment use.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with processes and machinery.
5. Partner with CNC programmers and machine operators to improve efficiency and product quality.
6. Provide manufacturing expertise to suppliers, customers, and other departments.
7. Ensure quality and safety standards are met.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
2. 8+ years of manufacturing experience in a lead role.
3. Expertise in planning manufacturing processes.
4. Experience with grinding machines.
5. Advanced 3D CAD skills.
6. Proficiency with CNC programming.
7. Thorough understanding of GD & T.
