Onsite – Buffalo, NYOur Military Aircraft Group is seeking aSenior Manufacturing Engineerto join our Prismatic (Complex Milling) Manufacturing Group in East Aurora, NY. This is your opportunity to take on a high-impact role where innovation meets precision, and your expertise drives the development of cutting-edge aerospace components.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of bothnew product developmentandcontinuous improvementof existing manufacturing processes. You’ll work hands-on with complex milled parts, applying advanced CNC programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Lead the development of manufacturing processes for new aerospace components.
Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives across engineering teams.
Create and prove out N/C programs, operation sequences, workholding design concepts, tooling/gauge lists, and detailed work instructions.
Support and improve existing production processes through hands-on shop floor engagement.
Estimate time standards, labor ratios, and economic run quantities for complex parts.
Generate detailed cost estimates for new business and process improvements.
Evaluate and implement new capital equipment and manufacturing technologies.
Collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, operations staff, quality teams, and suppliers to resolve process issues and mentor peers.
Lead projects and potentially own the engineering portion of a dedicated manufacturing cell.
Support automated manufacturing cells to reduce labor and variability.
To be considered for Senior Manufacturing Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
ABachelor’s degreein a technical field with 5+ yearsof relevant professional experience, or anAssociate degreewith8+ yearsof relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GEDwith10+ yearsof proven professional experience
Strong knowledge and experience in 5-Axis CNC Milling programming using CAD/CAM (NX experience preferred, but not required)
Proven experience in end-to-end process engineering—from raw material to finished product
Hands-on machining experience, including setup and operation
Expertise in machining a variety of materials (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, etc.)
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, and fixture design
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Project management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $90,000.00–$145,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
