Position: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Buffalo, NY. Be part of an exciting journey as we build our new facility in the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park in Alabama, NY! This role offers a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with on-site presence during the construction phase.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $97,000. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new processes to reduce product assembly costs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and vendors in Korea to understand and improve current processes.
  • Support equipment specification, installation, and validation at the new plant.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support to operations.
  • Maintain data system integrity and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct time studies and optimize assembly processes.
  • Manage setup, preparation, and optimization of manufacturing tooling and jobs.
  • Interface with stakeholders to understand requirements and improve production techniques.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, technical specifications, and drawings.
  • Train workforce and ensure documentation and traceability.
  • Maintain regular attendance and foster teamwork.
  • Report initially to the Project Manager, transitioning to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; industry experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, machining, or assembly environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6S; proficiency in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ERP systems (SAP beneficial).
  • Strong communication skills; Korean language skills are a plus.
  • Project management experience preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%, including internationally, initially.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards; moderate noise. Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and frequent computer use.
