Job summary

Celanese is seeking a Principal Engineer, Major Capital Projects to lead high-impact capital investments across manufacturing sites. You will drive projects from concept to startup, ensuring safety, cost, and schedule targets are met while collaborating with engineering, operations, and external partners.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, develop execution roadmaps, and maintain project controls to deliver strategic business value in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in engineering or capital project execution.
• Experience delivering $2–50M USD projects in process industries.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience managing multi-site capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from initiation through startup and closeout.
• Own scope, cost, schedule, safety, quality, and performance.
• Develop execution strategies and roadmaps aligned with objectives.
• Maintain project controls, risk registers, and cost estimates.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, procurement, and construction.
