Jobot is seeking an Accounting Manager for a growing, private equity-backed manufacturing company. You will oversee month-end close, GAAP reporting, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and internal controls while leading a small team and partnering with operations and finance.

The role emphasizes hands-on accounting, process improvement, and scalable infrastructure to support growth and potential acquisitions, with direct exposure to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing or inventory-intensive environment.
• Experience managing or supervising accounting staff.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, COGS, and manufacturing variances.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or multi-entity organization desirable.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on accounting responsibilities with process improvement and team leadership.

Responsabilités

• Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with GAAP accuracy.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee GL activity, reconciliations, entries, accruals, and balance sheet analysis.
• Cost Accounting & Inventory: Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, COGS, variances, and valuation.
• Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Develop accounting policies, strengthen controls, streamline processes.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze results, investigate variances, provide insights to management.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate external audits, support tax and compliance, ensure standards.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and develop accounting staff, promote accountability and improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, supply chain, production, and finance.
• Private Equity Reporting: Support reporting packages, KPIs, budgeting, forecasting for leadership and PE.
• Systems & Scalability: Optimize systems, reporting tools, and procedures to support growth.
