Genuine Search Group is partnering with a mid-sized manufacturing client to hire an Assistant Controller / Senior Accounting Manager in Florida. The role leads the month-end close, drives process improvements, and manages a team of accounting professionals.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and hands-on ERP system ownership to optimize financial reporting and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven supervisory experience leading an accounting team.
• Hands-on ownership of full month-end close including reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience with mid-sized ERP systems (manufacturing-focused).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to drive process improvements.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to partner with non-finance stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead full month-end and year-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Supervise and develop an accounting team; provide coaching and training.
• Drive process improvements to streamline close and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and cost insights to operations and plant leadership.
• Oversee AP/AR/GL processes and monthly reporting packages.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analysis.
• Assist with external audits and implement recommendations.
