Job summary
Celeros Flow Technology in Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced Machinist to perform manual turning, milling, and threading with a focus on pumps and rotating equipment in a shop setting. You will work under the Shop Supervisor and collaborate with Multi‑Skilled technicians.
The role requires reading blueprints, setting up machines, selecting tooling, and maintaining very tight tolerances using precision gauges. Prior experience with various materials and safe machining practices is expected.
Qualifications
- Read, interpret, and apply blueprints and drawings.
- Maintain very tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.
- Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
- Collaborate with technicians and supervisor in a shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual milling and turning machines.
- Read work orders and select tooling and work centers.
- Install tooling such as jaws, chucks, fixtures, and cutting tools.
- Ensure tolerances with precision instruments and gauges.
