You will set up and operate manual equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances. Responsibilities include selecting tooling, inspecting with precision instruments, and troubleshooting issues.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manual machinist in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Ability to independently set up and operate manual machining equipment.
• Read blueprints and interpret tolerances and instructions.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools and verifying dimensions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely and maintain organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related equipment.
• Read blueprints and customer specifications to guide machining.
• Perform precision machining, repairs, and fitting of components.
• Indicate, align, level, and secure parts for machining.
• Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and setups appropriately.
• Machined parts to required tolerances and surface finish.
• Inspect work with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Identify issues and communicate concerns before proceeding.
• Troubleshoot machining problems and maintain records.
• Assist with repairs, rework, and custom one-off jobs.
