PROVISION MANPOWER RESOURCES LLC is looking for a skilled Manual Machinist III to join our team in Houston, TX. This is a hands‑on opportunity for an experienced machinist ready to take on complex precision work in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, boring mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, repair instructions, and customer specifications.
• Perform precision machining, repair, modification, and fitting of components.
• Indicate, align, level, and secure parts properly before machining.
• Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, cutting tools, fixtures, and setup methods.
• Machine parts to required dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and quality requirements.
• Perform complex setups with minimal supervision.
• Inspect work using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Verify dimensions before, during, and after machining operations.
• Identify drawing, setup, tooling, or machining issues and communicate concerns before proceeding.
• Troubleshoot machining problems such as chatter, poor finish, taper, out‑of‑round conditions, alignment issues, or dimensional errors.
• Maintain accurate job records, inspection notes, and work documentation as required.
• Assist with repair work, rework, and custom one‑off machining jobs.
• Support shop workflow by helping with material handling, part movement, and job preparation when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company and customer safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a manual machinist in an industrial, manufacturing, repair, or machine shop environment.
• Ability to independently set up and operate manual machining equipment.
• Experience with manual lathes and manual mills required.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, tolerances, and machining instructions.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, setups, tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding.
• Ability to hold close tolerances and verify work throughout the machining process.
• Ability to work independently and make sound machining decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work safely in a shop environment.
