W3Global in Houston is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to operate conventional shop equipment, read blueprints, and produce precision components to exact tolerances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will set up lathes and milling machines, select tooling and speeds, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and collaborate with engineers and production staff to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in operating manual lathes and milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining practices, materials, and tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform basic shop mathematics and calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and saws.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Manufacture, modify, and repair precision components according to customer and production requirements.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining methods to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts to verify compliance with dimensional and quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production personnel to meet project deadlines.
