Universal Tube, Inc. in Rochester Hills, MI is seeking a seasoned General Tooling Machinist. The role requires 10+ years of hands-on manual machining experience, with strong capabilities on engine lathes and Bridgeport mills.

The candidate should be able to read prints, select tooling and settings, and work independently in a tool room environment. This is not a production CNC job; you will focus on tooling, fixtures, one-off parts, and solving manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on manual machining experience.
• Extensive manual engine lathe experience.
• Extensive Bridgeport milling experience.
• Tool room, tool & die, or job shop experience.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
• Ability to work independently.
