Role and Responsibilities

We have an immediate opportunity for a Manual Machinist - Bridgeport with 3-5 years of experience. In this position, you will help us create tools and other components using a variety of materials and equipment.

Including lathes, mills, drill presses, shapers, bandsaws, shear, punch presses, grinding machines, etc.

Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job. Follow the blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components.
• Perform all assigned machine shop operations.
• Operate machine for milling, turning, drilling, tapping, grinding, cutting, and polishing materials.
• Finish projects using manual tools and precision instruments, including mics & calipers.
• Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Performs inspections of machined products and documents results.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.

Education requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship.

Preferred Skills

• 3-5 years of manual machining experience (BRIDGEPORT)
