Laborup in Tulsa, OK is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to support a climate-controlled, high-mix, low-volume precision machining facility. You will work hands-on with manual lathes and mills, including Bridgeport Manual Mills, crafting parts with care and accuracy.

Ideal candidates bring proven manual machining experience, a strong grasp of GD&T and blueprint reading, and enjoy solving unique manufacturing challenges. The role offers a 2nd shift, excellent profit sharing, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience: proven manual machining experience.
• Independence: ability to work independently on highly custom parts.
• Technical: deep understanding of GD&T, complex blueprint reading, and machining planning steps.
• Measurement: strong measuring and manual inspection skills to verify tight tolerances.
• Physical: ability to stand, move, and lift up to 50 pounds during shift.

Responsibilities

• Process Ownership: Own your work center, maintaining high quality and troubleshooting issues in real time.
• Setup & Operation: Set up and operate manual mills and lathes, including Bridgeport Manual Mills.
• Custom Workholding: Create custom workholding for unique, one-of-a-kind parts.
• Documentation & Specs: Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and heavy GD&T to meet exact specifications.
• Precision Machining: Machine high-mix, low-volume, and highly custom parts with precision.
• Precision & Measurement: Perform manual measurement and inspection using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges without relying on automated programming.
• Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following 5S standards.
