Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams.

This engineering-first role combines hands-on design support, customer engagement, and close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to drive design wins and new business opportunities through the entire development cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in Field Applications/Design/Technical Sales or similar.
• Strong knowledge of connectors and interconnect systems.
• Experience supporting product design through qualification and production.
• Proficient in Creo or SolidWorks.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• MS Office 365 proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers to identify and close new opportunities.
• Drive design wins by understanding customer applications.
• Support customers through the complete product development cycle.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing to tailor solutions.
• Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and design reviews.
• Provide technical guidance on connector and interconnect products.
• Review customer drawings and specifications using CAD tools (Creo/SolidWorks).
• Influence customer design decisions by demonstrating product value and advantages.
• Support new product launches and communicate customer feedback to internal teams.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities.
• Travel regularly to customer sites for relationship building and support.
