Job summary

KnowledgeWorks Global (KGL) is seeking an experienced Senior Managing Editor to lead editorial operations and client relationships for assigned scholarly publishing accounts. Reporting to an Editorial Director, this role oversees the delivery of high quality editorial and production services while leading a team that may include managing editors, editorial assistants, and production specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 10+ years in scholarly publishing management.
• Experience leading editorial services for large journal accounts.
• Strong knowledge of editorial workflows and client reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee editorial and production operations for assigned accounts.
• Manage contracts, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Act as primary client contact and participate in meetings.
• Identify process improvements to increase quality and efficiency.
• Lead and develop staff supporting client accounts.
• Monitor workflows and prepare reports on performance.
