Job summary

Uniper seeks a Senior Managing Director, North American Trading, to lead a high-impact North American trading team in a dynamic energy market. The role oversees profitability and sustainability of US trading, LNG support, and the entire US/Canadian storage portfolio, with strategic expansion across geographies and regions.

You will collaborate with Origination to grow the portfolio, coordinate with the NA gas grid, and guide VaR-driven trading of assets and positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level university/college is preferred.
• 10 years’ minimum of energy experience.
• Ability to manage a large team across a wide geography.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of futures, options, and other structured products.
• Agility to manage multiple tasks and absorb market intelligence.
• Interpersonal skills and direct customer involvement.
• Initiative for building a new business.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of physical traders, optimizers and schedulers.
• Responsible for profitability and sustainability of US Trading business and LNG support for SE.
• Aggregate profitability of the US & Canadian storage portfolio.
• Collaborate with Origination to broaden portfolio into new geographies.
• Oversee connectivity of the North American natural gas grid.
• Coordinate LNG relationships within the UCGNA Gulf-Texas Team.
• Extend LNG gateway to new supply regions: Waha, Permian, Utica, Marcellus & WCSB.
• Coordinate with Origination to build asset infrastructure.
• Deploy VaR to trade assets and positions.

Your responsibilities

• Manage a team of physical traders, optimizers and schedulers

Your profile
