Saddle Creek Logistics Services in Walton, KY is seeking a Sr. Manager, Fulfillment Operations to build a high-performing leadership team in a fast-paced fulfillment environment and execute daily/short-term plans to meet objectives.

The role oversees up to 100 workers, partners with customers, and drives staffing, safety, and continuous improvement across the site while managing revenue and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years of leadership experience in fulfillment/distribution environment.
• Experience with Order Management System, Warehouse Management System, and/or Labor Management System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple leaders and up to 100 full-time/temporary workers.
• Build and manage customer relationships with regular communication and partnership.
• Plan and adjust staffing schedules to meet operational demands and objectives.
• Oversee inbound/outbound loading, unloading, and warehouse organization.
• Maintain productivity, customer service, and safety standards daily.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional relations with partners.
• Promote continuous improvement and uphold the Quality Policy.
• Coach and develop staff, conduct performance reviews, and drive promotion opportunities.
• Manage revenue and expenses within budget; track KPIs.
• Communicate objectives, policies, procedures, and safety methods to staff.
• Lead site continuous improvement and lean culture initiatives.
• Oversee site safety programs and policy adherence.

Overview

The Sr. Manager, Fulfillment Operations is responsible for building a team of high performing leaders in a fast-paced fulfillment environment. This role is responsible for delivering and executing daily and short-term plans to achieve operational and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple leaders and up to 100 full-time/temporary worker
• Build and manage a relationship with customers by maintaining regular communication and partnership
• Plan, monitor, and execute staffing schedules and adjust as needed to ensure proper staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives
• Manage inbound/outbound loading and unloading of trucks while maintaining warehouse organization and inventory accuracy
• Maintain productivity, customer service, and safety standards on a daily basis
• Provide superior customer service and maintain professional and courteous relations with strategic partners
• Promote constant and measurable improvement; teach and enforce SCLS’ Quality Policy at all times
• Train, coach, mentor, and develop staff to achieve business objectives while providing career developing opportunities; conduct performance reviews
• Manage revenue and expenses within budget; manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Communicate to operations’ staff in areas such as: objectives, policies, procedures, safety methods, practices, programs, etc.
• Manages site continuous improvement initiatives and developing/driving a lean culture
• Oversight for site safety programs, compliance, and adherence to SCLS’ safety guidelines and policies

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field strongly preferred
• High School diploma/GED Required
• Must have at least 5-7 years of leadership experience preferably in a fulfillment operation or distribution environment; Prior supervisory experience in a fulfillment operation is preferred

• Must have experience with an Order Management System, Warehouse Management System, and/or Labor Management System.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to adjust strategy on the fly while functioning in a high-stress environment in order to obtain operational goals
• Ability to understand the life cycle of the fulfillment business and how it pertains to each unique customer
• Ability to build a cohesive team that exemplifies SCLS’ values and operates to support SCLS’ mission statement
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to identify and understand problems, challenges, and opportunities by analyzing and comparing data to reach a proper conclusion
• Ability and passion to deliver excellent customer service and develop mutually benefiting relationships with all partners
• Ability to influence change management and operational performance from areas outside of his/her direct control
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Managers, Clients and general public
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and contracts
