Job summary

Saddle Creek Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to manage and guide hourly associates in a busy warehouse setting. You will support diverse clients, drive productivity, and uphold safety and quality standards to meet service level goals.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving in a dynamic logistics environment, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in a leadership role with a track record of implementing and managing change.
• Strong listening, collaboration, communication, and motivational skills.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced settings.

• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities; cross-training readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Assist clients with supply chain needs and demands.
• Meet productivity and cost control standards for the business unit.
• Ensure high levels of order accuracy and inventory control.
• Monitor KPIs and promote LEAN process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and coach team members.

Location: Walton, KY
Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00PM-1:30AM

What you will do:

• Manage and lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse team environment
• Assist our wide range of clients with the needs and demands of their supply chains
• Ensure acceptable levels of performance in assigned business unit by meeting or exceeding productivity standards and cost control management
• Ensure exceptional customer service by meeting key performance indicators (order fill rate accuracy, unannounced inspections, inventory accuracy, etc.) for assigned area of responsibility
• Achieve performance goals through KPI monitoring, promote LEAN principles, and process improvement
• Lead and maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment.
• Meet or exceed SCLS corporate safety goals
• Effectively communicate goals, expectations, areas for improvement, and successes to associates
• Coach, train, and mentor associates allowing them the opportunity to grow and develop
• Conduct annual performance reviews

Our ideal candidate will have…

• 2+ years of previous experience in a leadership role with a track record of implementing and managing change
• Listening skills and strong abilities to collaborate, communicate and motivate others to accomplish goals
• Demonstrated success in problem-solving and decision-making to overcome obstacles and maximize opportunities
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while focusing on exceeding operational goals
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, agility, and ability to be cross-trained to do more where needed
• High school diploma/GED required

It’s not required, but it would be even better if you have…

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement training and experience
• Supply chain/logistics experience is a plus but not required
• Technical savvy (intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job-specific software applications #LI-EP1
