Job summary

Navitas Resourcing Group is partnering with an established US renewables owner and developer to recruit a Senior Manager to drive growth in utility-scale battery energy storage. Based in Houston with a hybrid setup, the role leads technical development, evaluation of acquisitions and lifecycle decisions for BESS portfolios.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of utility-scale BESS experience, strong background in PCS/EMS, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

Five+ years of direct utility-scale BESS experience
Experience with projects above 50 MW
Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
Strong knowledge of battery systems, PCS, EMS, SCADA and interconnection
Experience evaluating OEMs, integrators and technical proposals
Project development, technical diligence or acquisition experience
Current US work authorization without sponsorship

Responsibilities

Lead the technical development and optimization of utility-scale BESS projects
Support project acquisition and investment due diligence
Define system sizing, architecture, PCS and EMS requirements
Evaluate battery OEMs, integrators and supplier proposals
Support equipment procurement and contract negotiations
Review degradation, augmentation, warranties and lifecycle costs
Coordinate with Development, Engineering, Interconnection, Construction and Finance teams
