Job summary

Navitas Resourcing Group is partnering with an established US renewables owner and developer to recruit a Senior Manager to drive growth in utility-scale battery energy storage. Based in Houston with a hybrid setup, the role leads technical development, evaluation of acquisitions and lifecycle decisions for BESS portfolios.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of utility-scale BESS experience, strong background in PCS/EMS, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of direct utility-scale BESS experience
• Experience with projects above 50 MW
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
• Strong knowledge of battery systems, PCS, EMS, SCADA and interconnection
• Experience evaluating OEMs, integrators and technical proposals
• Project development, technical diligence or acquisition experience
• Current US work authorization without sponsorship

We are partnering with an established US renewable-energy owner and developer seeking a Senior Manager to support the growth of its utility-scale battery energy storage portfolio.

This technical and commercially focused position will evaluate potential project acquisitions and lead standalone and co-located BESS projects through the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and optimization of utility-scale BESS projects
• Support project acquisition and investment due diligence
• Define system sizing, architecture, PCS and EMS requirements
• Evaluate battery OEMs, integrators and supplier proposals
• Support equipment procurement and contract negotiations
• Review degradation, augmentation, warranties and lifecycle costs
• Coordinate with Development, Engineering, Interconnection, Construction and Finance teams

The position is based in Houston with a hybrid working arrangement. The package includes a $170,000-$200,000 base salary, annual bonus, competitive 401(k) and comprehensive health benefits.
