FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a Manager of Transmission Planning to lead a team of supervisors and engineers across FirstEnergy's transmission and sub-transmission systems.

The role involves ensuring safe, reliable operation and conducting interconnection studies with input from operating companies, utilities, and regional organizations. The position requires a BSEE, a PE license (preferred), and at least 7 years of related experience, including supervision.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or be willing to obtain.
• Minimum of 7 years of related work experience.
• Experience supervising or managing employees preferred.
• Proficient in power system analysis software (PSLF, PSS/E, TARA) and related planning tools.
• Familiarity with PJM, RFC and NERC practices, procedures and requirements in transmission planning.

• Executes the EtF capital budget portfolio integration for the Transmission Planning function.
• Collaborates with GM, Planning to align engineering/operational plans with company goals.
• Maintains day-to-day delivery of group programs and services; builds internal/external relationships.
• Engages with industry groups (NERC, RFC, PJM) and represents FE practices.
