Job summary

FirstEnergy seeks a senior finance leader for the Transmission group in Akron, OH. You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, partnering across FP&A, Treasury, and operations to deliver actionable insights and drive performance. You will manage P&L ownership, balance sheets, and cash flow while guiding senior stakeholders.

The role emphasizes strategic finance, regulatory acumen, and leadership of a team of analysts to support Brookfield, Valley Link, and FirstEnergy goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis of O&M, capital or P&L.
• Strong financial acumen, GAAP knowledge, and regulatory understanding; leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting for Transmission; manage P&L, balance sheets and cash flows.
• Interface with stakeholders across Utility Leadership, FP&A, Treasury and partners to align plans.
• Oversee SEC filings and disclosures for FET and stand-alone Transmission reporting; ensure accuracy.
• Support accounting activities such as invoices and accruals; assist cross-border transmission items.
• Build a business-partner model to drive insights, risk mitigation and performance improvement.
• Lead and develop analysts; provide growth opportunities and ensure day-to-day financial rigor.
