FirstEnergy, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, seeks an Analyst V to ensure accurate internal management reporting and external financial reporting across the organization. The role collaborates with finance, accounting, and operations teams, requiring strong analytical skills and effective communication of complex financial information.

The position reports to the Director, Reporting and Corporate Business Services and is based at FirstEnergy’s corporate headquarters in Akron.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. MBA or relevant master’s degree a plus.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience required.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills and the ability to connect financial data to business decisions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced knowledge of Excel a plus.
• SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with QlikView or other reporting tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Utility or regulated industry experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Participating in the preparation and distribution of monthly internal reports.
• Participating in the preparation, documentation and analysis of SEC and regulatory reporting and disclosures.
• Participating in the preparation of supporting materials for investor relations.
• Participating in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Providing support and assistance to external auditors.
• Conducting ad hoc research and financial analysis for senior management.
