Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced leader to own strategy and development of intelligent inventory and fulfillment capabilities across global markets. You will connect seller inventory with customer demand and drive end-to-end inventory flow within Walmart’s expansive fulfillment network.

You will partner with data science, analytics, and international teams to optimize allocation, replenishment, and network capacity while defining governance and investment strategies to sustain scalable growth.

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years in project/program management or 7 years in related area; supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Master’s degree (Preferred) with 4+ years in related area is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices is preferred.

  • Own end-to-end inventory flow strategy and methodology for inventory positioning, replenishment, and movement across Walmart’s fulfillment network.
  • Define decision frameworks, business logic, inputs, constraints, triggers, and success measures for inventory allocation and fulfillment decisions.
  • Develop scalable inventory placement and replenishment strategies for cross-border markets.
  • Translate growth plans and demand forecasts into inventory, fulfillment, capacity, and network requirements.
  • Partner with Data Science and Analytics on predictive and optimization capabilities.
  • Lead Mexico and Canada inventory allocation and fulfillment initiatives and scale capabilities to future international markets.

Job description

  • Lead strategy and development of intelligent inventory and fulfillment capabilities connecting seller inventory with customer demand across global markets
  • Own end-to-end inventory flow strategy and methodology for inventory positioning, replenishment, and movement across Walmart’s fulfillment network
  • Define decision frameworks, business logic, inputs, constraints, triggers, and success measures for inventory allocation and fulfillment decisions
  • Develop scalable inventory placement and replenishment strategies for cross-border markets
  • Translate growth plans and demand forecasts into inventory, fulfillment, capacity, and network requirements
  • Partner with Data Science and Analytics on predictive and optimization capabilities
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Fulfillment Services, Transportation, Product, Engineering, Finance, and international teams on fulfillment and network strategy
  • Define forward deployment, gateway strategy, inventory positioning, replenishment flows, node expansion, and fulfillment workflows
  • Develop seller-facing capabilities and workflows for inventory placement, replenishment, consolidation, forwarding, and international fulfillment
  • Build business architecture, technology requirements, system interactions, data requirements, decision services, and event triggers
  • Develop financial models and cost-to-serve frameworks for inventory placement, fulfillment, and network decisions
  • Lead Mexico and Canada inventory allocation and fulfillment initiatives and scale capabilities to future international markets
  • Establish governance, operating mechanisms, metrics, annual planning, business cases, and investment strategies
  • Influence senior leaders on strategic tradeoffs, capability investments, network requirements, and prioritization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 5 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area; OR
  • 7 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related area and 4 years' experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area
  • Preferred knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
