Job summary

BILL is seeking a Technical Accounting Senior Manager to serve as the company’s subject-matter expert on complex, non-recurring, and new accounting matters under U.S. GAAP.

You’ll research positions, partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and business teams, and ensure audit-ready financial statements and disclosures. You will lead significant accounting analyses, manage SOX controls, and support Form 10-Q/10-K workpapers while collaborating across finance functions in a fast-paced fintech

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; active CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with Big 4 exposure.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with stock-based compensation (ASC 718), leases (ASC 842), revenue (ASC 606).
• Public company experience and SOX controls understanding; audit process familiarity.
• Fintech or SaaS industry experience is a plus; hands-on with NetSuite/Oracle/Workiva; advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate accounting impact of new or non-recurring transactions; document memos.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and SEC guidance; update policies.
• Prepare analyses and memos on revenue, stock-based comp, leases, EPS, debt and investments.
• Review Chart of Accounts mappings and financial statement alignments for accuracy.
• Support Form 10-Q/10-K workpapers; EPS and non-routine transactions.
• Own key SOX controls and coordinate with external auditors; maintain documentation.
• Forecast stock-based compensation expenses with compensation team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate accounting implications of transactions.
