Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Systems Engineering Manager in the San Diego area to lead a section of 8–15 engineers and oversee hiring, development, and performance across programs.

You will drive MBSE practices (MBSE, DOORS, CAMEO) and manage requirements, verification, and mission integration while ensuring an inclusive, high-performance culture. Active Top Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with 7–9 years combined technical and management experience
• Experience in Requirements and Verification, Operations Analysis, MBSE tools (DOORS, CAMEO) and related disciplines
• Experience leading an engineering team or project
• Active USG Top Secret clearance or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
• Ability to obtain SAP/PAR access before employment

• Lead a section of 8–15 systems engineers
• Hire, develop, train, and retain section talent
• Provide leadership and manage employee performance
