Role: Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing - Facilities

Profile

The Sr. Manager of Strategic Sourcing ensures that products, services, and supplier relationships align with Davita's best interests. This role leads the Indirect Sourcing for Facilities, overseeing supplier evaluation, contract management, and strategic sourcing initiatives. The position requires minimal supervision on complex projects, involving significant discretion and judgment. Key skills include business partnering, research, data analysis, negotiation, and evaluation of goods/services. The Sr. Manager makes supplier recommendations based on business criteria and competitive intelligence, leading negotiations. Reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a procurement team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
• Collaborate with internal partners (Facilities, Operations, Finance, Legal) to understand needs and drive procurement strategies that add value and mitigate risks.
• Influence senior leadership on procurement initiatives.
• Set goals, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Expand the Facilities procurement portfolio and streamline vendor management.
• Ensure legal review of contracts and proper documentation in the Contract Management System.
• Develop and execute category strategies.
• Coordinate contract documentation and facilitate procurement processes.
• Lead high-level sourcing initiatives independently, demonstrating ownership.
• Support data gathering, stakeholder discussions, and sourcing strategies.
• Partner with VMO to evaluate supplier performance.
• Research market trends, suppliers, and technologies; provide recommendations.
• Proficiency in sourcing platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, GEP) is preferred.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of procurement experience preferred.
• Proven leadership in managing small teams.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, especially in Facilities or related categories.
• Ability to handle multiple RFPs/RFIs simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Coupa, and other eSourcing tools preferred.
