Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
  • 5+ years of experience managing a global team
  • 1+ years of experience in communication and presenting strategies at executive levels
  • 1+ years of experience working with suppliers to address non-conformances and problem resolution

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop managers and teams responsible for end-to-end supplier quality, including investigations, containment, audits, and corrective actions within the BGS supply base.
  • Oversee supplier quality audits, first article inspections, and source inspections aligned with BGS program requirements to ensure compliance with all quality standards and specifications.
  • Drive early identification and resolution of supplier-related quality issues and/or product safety risks that require Safety Management System (SMS) evaluation, acting as the key integrator among suppliers, supply chain, program, and engineering teams.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams and supplier partners to mitigate quality risks and implement continuous improvement initiatives that support program requirements.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and leadership to promote a culture of quality, safety, and operational & functional excellence across the BGS supplier network.
  • Lead functional excellence, lean and process improvement activities focused on elevating supplier quality and operational performance within BGS.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reports on supplier quality status, risks, and improvement initiatives to BGS leadership.
  • Provide coaching, education, and guidance on Boeing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality problem-solving methodologies to teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and Boeing quality protocols specific to the BGS organization.

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Supplier Quality. This Leader will lead global multi-functional teams responsible for maintaining high supplier quality standards across BGS commercial and government programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business plans, policies, procedures and strategies to improve supply base quality performance. Position can be located in either Seattle, WA., San Antonio, TX., Plano, TX., Hazelwood, MO., and Charleston, SC.

In this role you will:
  • Provide strategic leadership, collaborate cross-functionally, drive quality improvements that directly support the BGS business

  • Vital part of BGS Supplier Quality and plays a key role in fostering a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement within the supply base

  • Lead organizational investigations into supplier quality issues

  • Identify and manage risk mitigation efforts

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain

Primary Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.

  • Hands-on experience with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Proficient with Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) and advanced problem-solving techniques.

  • Skilled in data analysis tools such as MS Excel, Tableau or equivalent for quality metrics and reporting.

  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated success in driving supplier quality excellence and operational risk mitigation within a global context

  • Innovative mindset with practical problem-solving and decision-making

  • Strategic leadership with strong business acumen

Summary pay range: $183,600 – $265,650
