Job summary

Lines for Life in Portland, OR is seeking a Senior Manager of Suicide Prevention Program to provide strategic leadership and oversee suicide prevention programs with community input. The role requires guiding policy development, grant writing, and staff supervision in a hybrid work setting in Oregon.

The position reports to the Strategy Officer/Prevention Director, with a salary in the $70k–$78k range and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related behavioral health field or a bachelor’s degree with five+ years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum five years coordinating or supporting a coalition, social services program, or relevant project.
• Analytical skills to assess data and program outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Leadership to guide teams, manage projects, and drive initiatives.
• Problem-solving abilities to develop effective solutions.
• Interpersonal and collaboration skills with diverse groups.
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Knowledge of suicide prevention strategies, policies, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning with senior management to set goals and implement scalable infrastructure.
• Oversee development and execution of suicide prevention programs with equitable community input.
• Assist in policy development and interpretation for prevention services.
• Provide oversight of program planning, trainings, conferences, outreach, and webinars.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports and research to inform policy decisions.
• Manage resources efficiently to support goals.
• Lead fundraising, grant writing, budgeting, and contracts oversight.
• Supervise staff including coaching, evaluations, and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with HR for personnel support.
• Support interdepartmental projects and embody Lines for Life culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
