Job summary

The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), seeks a Senior Manager of Strategic Priorities to identify, execute, and coordinate initiatives that improve efficiency, service quality, and performance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5–7 years of work experience; 2 of which in management consulting or related field
• 5 years of management consulting or related field
• Ability to relate to people across the organization to establish trust and rapport
• Ability to work with large data sets, evaluate data quality, and develop data-driven performance measures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with business analytics/intelligence tools

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze metrics with operating divisions to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency.
• Lead high-profile strategic initiatives to improve economic efficiency, service quality and performance.
• Develop and maintain project work plans, goals, and reporting for departmental metrics.
• Present information and updates to senior staff, MTA Headquarters and committees.
• Coach and develop staff, ensure safe working practices, and maintain professional environment.
