Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Strategic Change Enablement (SCE) Manager II to partner across CLCM and drive process improvements that support clinical research. You will develop process maps, quality documents, and change-management plans while guiding governance and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field; an international equivalent is acceptable.
  • 7+ years of pharma/clinical research experience; 3+ years in clinical research settings.
  • Experience with process management, optimization, and change initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Understand AbbVie’s Quality System, GxP regulations, and the Business Process Framework.
  • Partner with CLCM to plan and deliver process improvement initiatives for clinical research.
  • Develop clinical research processes, including process maps and quality documents.
  • Provide change management, stakeholder assessment, and communications for initiatives.
  • Lead sustainability of SCE infrastructure, change programs, and forums.
  • Assess metrics and drive continuous improvement across programs.

A continuous improvement strategy is integral to a Quality Management System in GCP for R&D. Compliance Learning Change Management (CLCM), within Clinical Development Operations, sustains an interconnected ecosystem, empowering teams to connect ideas and create impact. Strategic Change Enablement (SCE) Manager II is responsible for partnering across CLCM to plan and deliver process improvement initiatives that support clinical research processes. Manage the development of clinical research processes, including process maps and quality system documents. Provide change management for process improvement initiatives, including stakeholder and impact assessment, and communications, by leveraging knowledge of AbbVie's Quality System, GxP Regulations, and the Business Process Framework. Assess metrics and measures for their areas of focus. In partnership with SCE leaders leadership, manage the sustainability of SCE infrastructure, change management programs, and forums in alignment with SCE strategy.


Responsibilities


  • Responsible for understanding AbbVie's Quality System, GxP Regulations, and the Business Process Framework

  • Awareness of Clinical Trial Management Systems and other associated systems for areas of focus

  • Understand and partner across the CLCM to support process improvement initiatives

  • Provide change management for process improvement initiatives including stakeholder and impact assessment and communications

  • Manage development of clinical research processes, including quality system documents and process maps

  • Assessment of metrics and measures for their areas of focus

  • Management of change management programs and forums

  • Maintain initiative and change management application



  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent ex-US) is required, typically in a scientific or business field. An Associate’s degree (or equivalent ex-US) with relevant experience is acceptable.

  • Must have 7+ years of Pharma-related/ clinical research related experience; 3+ years of experience preferably within clinical research.

  • Experience in process management, optimization, and simplification work is required.

  • Experience in change management is required.

  • Effective leadership skills with a proven ability to foster team productivity and cohesiveness in a Matrix environment.

  • Possesses good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Change management and/or Lean Six Sigma desired..
