A sustainable process development and continuous improvement strategy is an integral part of a Quality Management System in GCP governing Research & Development (R&D). The Compliance Learning Change Management(CLCM) organization resides within Clinical Development Operations to sustain an interconnected process and operations ecosystem by seamlessly empowering teams to connect ideas and create meaningful impact.

The Director, Strategic Change Enablement (SCE) leads a team focused on delivery of Process and Change Management strategy and execution. The Director, SCE is responsible for leading global programs and initiatives driving clinical process infrastructure and continuous process improvement. This role partners with key stakeholders to ensure that SCE effectively delivers change management.

Responsibilities
  • Leads and develops a team focused on the planning, delivery, and optimization of our end-to-end clinical research processes through delivery of process design and change management strategy and solutions
  • Partners with CLCM and functional leaders to align on strategy and ensure effective delivery of SCE services
  • Oversees progress of process and change management delivery, including design of roles and responsibilities for clinical research processes assessing actual vs projected performance while managing and prioritizing workload and assignments, as necessary
  • Oversees systems and global program(s) that enable delivery of process design and change management
  • Oversees Quality System Document Architecture, including delivery of integrations into AbbVie’s Quality System and approving applicable Clinical Quality System Documents
  • Provides direction and guidance, evaluations performance and assists in career development of subordinates.
  • BS or BA required; advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated industry preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role with strong management skills in a complex matrix environment, preferably in the healthcare industry.

  • Demonstration of successful execution of process improvement strategy in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities effectively using innovative and creative solution.
  • Competent in the application of standard business procedures (SOPs, ICH, Global Regulations, Ethics and Compliance).
  • Demonstration of successful coaching/ mentoring, people management and communication skills in a matrix environment.
  • Effective leadership skills with a proven ability to foster global team productivity and cohesiveness.
  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Companybelieves ingood faith it will pay for this role at the timeof thisposting based on the job grade for this position.Individualcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,andwemayultimatelypaymore or less than the posted range. This range may bemodifiedin thefuture.
