Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Sr. Manager Specialty Care to lead specialty care programs with strategic value to the company. You will oversee the Specialty Care team and partner with fulfillment centers and division leaders to implement new programs and ensure quality controls.

The role requires a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, licensed pharmacist, and at least 3 years in clinical/patient care with people management experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmacy required (B.S. or PharmD).
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years clinical or patient care experience.
• Previous experience managing people.
• Knowledge of community pharmacy practice.
• Knowledge of Albertsons Pharmacy operations and systems to facilitate Specialty Care services at retail level preferred.
• Knowledge of state, federal pharmacy laws.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and track ROI and improving efficiencies for programs with manufacturers, HUB's, other specialty pharmacies, physician groups, employers and third-party payers.
• Formulate and implement care management protocols for patients on specialty medications that ensure optimal outcomes and the highest level of care for the patient.
• Coordinate with vendor partners regarding day-to-day operations to ensure program success and KPI achievement.
• Perform annual review of the Specialty Care standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Participate in the Pharmacy & Health Compliance Committee and implement committee recommendations.
• Hire, train, develop and monitor Specialty Care team and ensure proper system usage.
• Coach and develop Specialty Care Manager(s) to ensure balanced workload and uninterrupted patient care.
• Develop and implement operational standards of care for the Specialty Care team and programs.
• Collaborate with fulfillment, division operations and patient care services to optimize processes.
