Position Overview

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Solid Tumor Oncology, Data Science and Digital Health to join the J&J Innovative Medicine, Research and Development Data Science and Digital Health team. The primary location for this position is flexible – either Titusville, NJ; Raritan, NJ; San Diego, CA; South San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; remote may also be considered. This position may require up to 15% travel.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the primary business leader for Lung Cancer Program/DAS within Data Science & Digital Health.
2. Lead Oncology Data Sciences projects aligned to Compound Development Team(s), including Amivantamab and other lung cancer assets. Develop Data Sciences solutions, coordinate resources, collaborate with external partners, and work with the matrixed R&D Data Science team.
3. Collaborate with clinical project teams and functional partners in Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Development, Epidemiology, Commercial Data Science, Statistics, etc.
4. Develop and implement portfolio-level initiatives to enhance trial execution, real-world evidence generation, and regulatory submissions.
5. Evaluate and manage external partnerships for leveraging new technologies, solutions, and data assets for lung cancer programs.
6. Provide expertise in lung cancer clinical development, trial design, RWE generation, ML/AI tools.

Qualifications:

• MD with clinical experience, Ph.D., Masters or Bachelors in Medicine, Biotechnology, Statistics, Machine Learning & AI, Physics, Mathematics, Computational Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of industry experience in drug development, biotech, or real-world evidence, or 2 years in clinical practice with outcomes research.
• Knowledge of thoracic clinical oncology, treatment paradigms, patient experience, and clinical trials.
• Familiarity with healthcare datasets like EHR, insurance claims, or registries.
• Experience managing external partnerships in corporate or academic settings.
• Proven ability to manage timelines and deliver in a matrixed organization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hematology/Oncology fellowship training.
• R&D experience at pharmaceutical or biotech organizations.
• Understanding of data science research practices, predictive technologies, data mining, text mining.
• Hands-on experience with data science use cases in R&D.
• Knowledge of regulatory science and HEOR.
