Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a senior Training Operations leader responsible for the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of skilled-trades training across structural and outfitting production. Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of progressive supervisory work experience (or Master’s with 6+ years).
• NNS Apprentice School graduate is required.
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate is required.
• 2-year degree with 2 years exempt or 4 years non-exempt experience required.
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above preferred.
• HS/GED with 4 years manufacturing/shipbuilding/trades or military exempt experience.
• HS/GED with 8 years manufacturing/shipbuilding/trades or military non-exempt experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development, delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of skilled-trades training for Structural and Outfitting productions at NNS Charleston Operations.
• Serve as interface between Training and Production leadership to align training with workforce demand, production schedules, skill requirements, and quality trends.
• Coordinate with Training Administration, HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality and other stakeholders to sustain infrastructure and administration for a high-volume, evolving workforce development environment.
• Oversee course scheduling, enrollment, attendance, documentation, and training records with focus on LMS transactions and required records.
• Support budget development and monitoring of expenditures, forecasts, and variances for training programs.
• Coordinate procurement and inventory for training materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Conduct training quality observations, track improvements, and ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery.
• Review curricula and training materials for continual improvement.

Formação académica

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years relevant progressive supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree with 6 years relevant experience
