Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Senior Manager Service Engineering in Wisconsin to lead a team focused on serviceability, lifecycle cost, and maintainability across products. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 8 years related experience.
• 10 years’ experience in product service organization; 5 years progressive Eng/PM experience.
• Experience with development and maintenance of engineered products.
• Experience using SAP/MRP or equivalent ERP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) across product platforms.
• Define repair-vs-replace strategies at component, assembly, system levels.
• Evaluate repair decisions on lifecycle cost, reliability, maintainability.
• Establish repairability standards for major subsystems.
• Use LORA outcomes to influence product architecture and maintenance planning.
• Own SBOM strategy, governance, and continuous improvement.
• Transform EBOMs into service-ready structures.
• Define service assemblies, service kits, and replacement parts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Product Management.
• Ensure service BOM structures in PLM, ERP, and aftermarket systems.
• Drive service parts simplification to optimize inventory and costs.
• Set service parts readiness for new product introductions.
• Design and direct team work; coach and develop staff; set expectations.
• Manage performance and budgets; oversee project timelines.
