Job summary

Salesforce is building a brand new Professional Services Security Assurance (PSSA) team within the Security Practice. This founding role delivers secure engagements to customers, translating risks into actionable postures and shaping the practice.

As part of the trailblazer team, you will lead security assessments on web/mobile/API/cloud/AI apps, mentor teammates, and influence secure development across customers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing application security assessments, including architecture and design reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews, penetration testing, and cloud security reviews.
• Strong understanding of common application security vulnerabilities and secure development practices, including the OWASP Top 10, API Security Top 10.
• Experience communicating security findings, risk, and remediation guidance to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Strong customer-facing consulting skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence security outcomes.
• Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C#.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related technical field - or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead security assessments across web, mobile, API, cloud, and AI apps; include architecture reviews, threat modeling, and pentesting.
• Perform threat modeling to identify attack vectors, assess risk, and suggest security controls balancing security and usability.
• Produce security assessment reports with findings, risk ratings, and remediation recommendations for technical and exec stakeholders.
• Advise customers on remediation guidance and security best practices to improve overall security posture.
• Collaborate with Professional Services to embed security across the software development lifecycle.
• Develop methods, automation, and tooling to raise assessment quality and scalability.
• Define security standards, reference architectures, and secure development guidelines with internal teams and customers.
• Research new technologies, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities to improve methods.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and technical leadership.
