Job summary

Carolina PRG, in partnership with a major Charlotte-based public company, seeks a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting to lead and strengthen the company’s SEC filings and related disclosures. You will manage two Senior Accountants, own the SEC calendar, and collaborate across Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Investor Relations to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with active CPA license.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including substantial SEC reporting at a public company.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and filing Form 10-K/10-Q/8-K and related disclosures.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC requirements, disclosure controls, and SOX/ICFR.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other SEC filings with timelines and governance.
• Own the SEC reporting calendar and coordinate milestones across Accounting, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Investor Relations.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures ensuring accuracy and consistency with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Monitor SEC guidance and practices; recommend enhancements to disclosures and processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, XBRL providers, and other advisors.
• Build and lead a two-person Senior Accountant team, with clear roles and development plans.
