Job summary

Samsara is hiring a Senior Manager of Machine Learning to lead the Safety AI team, building end-to-end computer vision and sensor fusion systems for our AI dash cameras at fleet scale.

You will own the model lifecycle across edge and cloud, drive architectural decisions, and partner with firmware, full-stack, and platform teams to deliver reliable, low-latency safety features with measurable impact on driver safety and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in applied ML or computer vision with production deployments.
• 5+ years leading technical teams of scientists and engineers.
• Experience shipping CV and/or sensor fusion systems in production.
• Ability to balance platform direction with research velocity and delivery.
• MS or PhD in CS, EE, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Safety AI platform architecture for on-device and cloud systems.
• Ship safety features with measurable customer impact and evaluation.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of scientists and engineers.
• Collaborate with product, firmware, and platform teams to enable low-latency, high-precision detections.
