Job summary

Apptronik in Austin, TX, seeks a Senior Manager of Hardware Connectivity to lead the team that designs the robot's data pathways. You will manage engineers specializing in RF, wiring, and interconnects, ensuring reliable data transmission from sensors to cloud and control systems.

This role demands a hands-on leader who can review schematics and layouts, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Mechanical and Software teams to deliver robust hardware for Apollo.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional hardware engineering experience.
• 4+ years of direct people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of electrical, RF, and interconnect engineers.
• Oversee internal network architecture and routing for internal buses.
• Direct wireless antenna design strategies for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular.
• Own wire harnessing, shielding, and flex-PCB design across articulating joints.
• Define grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC strategies for robust signals.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Software teams for seamless system integration.
