Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager Accounting - Revenue Recognition to oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, GL reconciliations, and financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, IAS, and SEC. This role guides close processes, audits, and strategic system improvements.

You will lead a team, ensure SOX compliance, and contribute to acquisitions and mergers while developing robust accounting charters and controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
8-10 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
3-5 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

Manages the close process for assigned areas, analyzes financial data, and prepares reports in GAAP, IAS, and SEC.
Assists in footnotes and accounting information for SEC reports and the annual report.
Leads acquisitions, mergers, system implementations, conversions, and upgrades.
Develops charters for accounts to ensure efficient system integration.
Reviews processes to streamline activities and optimize resources.
Leads, motivates, and manages a diverse team.
Ensures procedures align with GAAP, IAS, and SEC.
Researches financial fluctuations and verifies data accuracy.
Facilitates quarterly and annual audits and liaises with auditors.
Performs other duties as needed.
