Job summary

The AES Corporation seeks a Senior Manager of Project Finance to lead complex financial modeling, debt and tax equity structuring, and project financing negotiations for renewable projects. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Project Finance and may be located in Salt Lake City, UT, with national remote options considered.

You will build and review models, coordinate with analysts, and drive deal closure with lenders and investors, guiding teams to timely and compliant closings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of financial modeling experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience financing renewable projects and document negotiation.
• Creative approach to new products or financial structures.
• Ability to set and meet deadlines in unstructured environments.
• Proven track record closing deals across technologies and investors/banks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead day-to-day activities, manage junior staff, review their work.
• Lead project financial modeling with analysts to ensure inputs/outputs for reporting.
• Develop debt, tax equity, transferability, and project equity structures with the director.
• Lead negotiation and closing of project finance transactions with third-party capital providers.
• Oversee funding of projects and diligence reports, ensuring conditions precedent are met.
