Job summary

AES Clean Energy seeks an experienced Senior Owner’s Engineer to support the development, construction, and financing of large-scale renewable energy projects. You will represent AES Clean Energy with financing parties, investors, lenders and Independent Engineers, ensuring standards are met and updated as needed.

The role requires deep wind energy system expertise, site and transmission interconnection knowledge, and strong project management. Remote or Salt Lake City, UT, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
5+ years in wind turbine design, development, and construction
Experience with wind project construction and investor site visits
Experience with debt or tax equity financing concepts
Strong technical writing and multi-project management skills
Familiar with NEC/NESC and related codes

Responsibilities

Owner Representation on wind, solar, and energy storage projects while supporting project finance and engineering efforts
Promote safety across projects and on-site
Development support for Origination, Procurement, Development and M&A teams
Production estimation and site suitability evaluation review
Project engineering support including plan review and QA/QC

Education

Engineering degree
