Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development – Acquisitions & Divestments to drive the identification, evaluation, execution, and negotiation of acquisition and divestment opportunities across our renewable energy portfolio.

You will work closely with internal teams across development, finance, legal, engineering, and asset management, as well as with external advisors and investors, to deliver value through strategic deals.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, M&A, acquisitions or divestments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial acumen with valuation/investment analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and support acquisition/divestment opportunities aligned with strategy.
• Lead or support transaction workstreams from origination through execution and close.
• Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, and investment cases.
• Coordinate due diligence with internal/external stakeholders.
• Support negotiations of terms and manage key commercial issues.
• Prepare presentations and investment papers for decision makers.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, tax, engineering, and development teams to structure solutions.
