Job summary

ITP (International Talent Partnership) is partnering with a leading aerospace metals manufacturer in Dallas, TX to appoint an experienced Quality Manager who will lead the site’s Quality function and ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001. The role emphasizes audits, customer interfaces and continuous improvement within a precision metals environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in aerospace quality and 3+ years in leadership, strong technical proficiency in inspection, metrology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years quality experience in aerospace/metals manufacturing.
  • 3+ years in quality leadership or management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality Management System (AS9100, ISO 9001) and audits.
  • Oversee QA/QC: incoming, in-process, final inspections.
  • Drive RCCA, CAPA, containment and 8D investigations.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics (scrap, first-pass yield, COPQ).
  • Mentor Quality Engineers, Inspectors and Technicians.

Job description

I'm currently partnering with a leading aerospace metals manufacturer that supplies precision metal components and assemblies to Tier 1 aerospace suppliers and OEMs supporting both commercial and defence programmes.

Following continued growth and investment, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to lead the site's Quality function at its Dallas, Texas manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on quality leader who enjoys driving quality culture, developing people, strengthening quality systems and working closely with customers, suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to ensure the highest standards of operational excellence across a technically demanding metals manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Oversee all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities, including Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection.
  • Lead internal, customer, supplier, certification and regulatory audits, ensuring continued audit readiness across the facility.
  • Act as the primary quality interface for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints, returns, non-conformances and quality concerns.
  • Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), CAPA, containment and preventive action activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys and Fishbone.
  • Manage non-conforming material, MRB activities, corrective actions and quality documentation.
  • Support First Article Inspections (AS9102), APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, process capability studies and validation activities.
  • Develop and monitor key quality metrics including scrap, first-pass yield, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), customer complaints and supplier performance.
  • Lead, coach and develop Quality Engineers, Inspectors and Technicians.
  • Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Program Management to improve product quality and operational performance.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, quality ownership and continuous improvement throughout the business.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of quality experience within an aerospace manufacturing or metals manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of quality leadership or management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with AS9102, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, RCCA, CAPA and statistical process control.
  • Experience leading internal, customer and supplier audits.
  • Strong understanding of precision metals manufacturing, machining, fabrication, metal processing or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
