Overview

Sodexo is seeking an experienced proposal manager to lead a team of RFP Strategists in managing proposal submissions. This role involves overseeing a high-volume pipeline of sales requests, ensuring brand consistency, engagement, and high-quality outputs. The Senior Manager will supervise project assignments, manage personnel, and promote professional growth within the team.

Remote (US-based, candidates can reside anywhere in the U.S.)

Key Responsibilities

1. Proposal Development Leadership: Oversee the proposal process, ensuring timely and quality submissions.
2. Project Intake & Assignment: Review RFPs, assess deadlines, and allocate projects efficiently.
3. Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders.
4. Quality Control: Maintain high standards for proposal content and messaging.
5. Process & Efficiency Improvement: Implement best practices to enhance proposal development.
6. Technology Utilization: Use Workfront, Adobe software, and AI tools; integrate with Salesforce.
7. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a remote team of Proposal Managers.
8. High-Volume Proposal Management: Handle multiple RFPs efficiently, utilizing AI tools.
9. Content Strategy & Messaging: Ensure proposals align with company value propositions and branding.
10. Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends to inform strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 in proposal, marketing, or sales content development.
• At least 3 years of management experience, preferably in RFP team management.
• APMP certification and Shipley training required.
• Excellent English language skills, verbal and written.
• Strong project management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in content writing, grammar, and messaging.
• Experience in high-volume proposal environments with minimal customization.
• Knowledge of AP and company style guides.
