Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a Manager of Performance Management to lead the design, execution, and improvement of enterprise performance management practices. The role focuses on objective setting, ongoing feedback, year-end evaluations, and calibration.

You will shape the strategy, develop practical frameworks, and partner with HR and Tech to drive adoption and scalable processes across the organization. Hybrid work options in Detroit, MI or Charlotte, NC are available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in performance management, talent management, organizational effectiveness, HR consulting, or I/O psychology.
• Experience designing or improving enterprise talent or HR practices.
• Strong knowledge of objective setting, feedback, performance evaluations, ratings, and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise performance management practices: objective setting, feedback, coaching, evaluations, ratings, and calibration.
• Shape performance management strategy and roadmap to improve effectiveness and employee experience.
• Develop frameworks, tools, and resources for managers to set expectations, give feedback, coach, and differentiate outcomes.
• Translate strategy into scalable practices balancing business needs, tech capabilities, and governance.
• Use data and stakeholder input to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives and partner with HR Technology to improve workflows and user experience.
• Establish standards and governance for talent decisions across the organization.
• Partner with HR and business to drive adoption of performance practices with clear enablement and change plans.
• Contribute to talent priorities including assessment, skills validation, and emerging tech uses.
